Lists and Accordions are very similar in the way that you go about creating them, but are essentially two different kinds of pages. Let us first consider the differences of each one:
LISTS
As you will come to find the more we look at each of these different kinds of pages, some of them entail different kinds of lists. What we are looking at now is the very basic kind of list, simply entitled "Lists." You can make lists of items linking to a hidden page containing the same kind of content you can put into an Unstructured Content page.
ACCORDIONS
Accordions also have headings with associated content. But in this case, the content is hidden on the main accordion page until you click on one of the headings. Once you do this, the content will drop-down as shown above.
Now let us consider the form that is used to create these pages.
The "Add" button is exactly the same as the one used to create a new SMS Notification, as mentioned on the Editor Role page. Once you click on this button, all fields will clear and you will be able to put in information for a new item on the list or accordion. In place of the "Add," "Edit," and "Remove" buttons will appear a "Save" and a "Cancel" button, which we will go into more detail about later. Anytime you see an "Add" button on a form, it will do exactly the same thing for it's corresponding page.
In the "Order" field, you will define which order the items on your list or accordion will be displayed. It will assume the name it's heading (described in more detail below) and will be arranged in the heading's alphabetical order by default. As such, you may simply add the letter of the alphabet corresponding to the order you wish the item to appear in as a prefix to the heading by default. For example, if your heading is entitled "Sample" and is the second item in your list or accordion, the order field should read "bSample." The "Order" field also acts as a drop-down menu before you click on the "Add" button that will allow you to choose an item on your list or accordion to edit or delete.
The "Heading" field is simply where you enter the heading you wish the item to appear with on your list or accordion.
The "Detail" field is where you put the content you wish to have displayed on the page the item on the list links to, or the information the accordion drops down. It works the same way as the form used to create and manage Unstructured Content pages, only in a much more limited way. You will only be able to insert links, create lists, and format text.
After you have entered content in each of these fields, you will be able to click on the "Save" button to save the new item on your list or accordion. Items on your list or accordion can also be edited and removed by clicking on the "Edit" and "Remove" buttons. Don't forget to refresh the homepage of your application before you go to check if these items have been changed successfully.
