Much like a list or an accordion, an event calendar displays a list of headings that link to a hidden page of associated content. In the case of an event calendar, these are ordered by date and time, grouped under purple headers by months. The form that you will use to create an event calendar looks like this:
Before you click on the "Add" button to add a new event, the "Event" field will serve as a drop-down menu by which you will be able to select each event. When you do click on the "Add" button, it becomes a field by which you can enter the name of the event, which will also display as the heading in the list.
When you click on the "Date" field, a drop-down calendar will appear much in the same sense as the "Scheduled" field in the SMS Services notification form mentioned on the Editor Role page. Once you choose your date, it will appear in your corresponding list heading below the title. It will also appear below the title on the detail page as well.
The time that you enter into the "Time" field will appear on each respective page in the same way, only right next to the selected date. To enter a time, you simply type in what you want into the "Time" field, whether it be an actual time or a message about the time such as "See schedule," "TBA," etc.
The "Place" field is the same as the "Time" field. Just simply enter what you want into that field. The information entered here will not appear in the list heading, but it will appear under the line containing the date and time on the details page.
The "Details" field is exactly like the "Detail" field on the list form. Simply put, it is a limited version of the form used to create an Unstructured Content page, where you will only be able to insert links, create lists, and format text.
Again, once you have entered information in each of these fields, you will be able to click on the "Save" button. You will also be able to "Edit" and "Remove" this item from the calendar once it has been saved. Remember to refresh the homepage of the application in order to go and check on the changes that have been made.
